Mattoid would like to congratulate filmmaker Edward Payson and the cast and crew of “Unsigned” for winning Best documentary at the 2011 itzon Film Festival! “Unsigned” will be released by Mattoid Entertainment late in 2011, stay tuned to MattoidEntertainment.com for details.

The rules are simple.

Email b@mattoidentertainment.com with the subject line “Photo Contest” and we will send you a JPG of the Mattoid logo, print it out and take a picture of it in an odd place, unique setting or do anything fun and unexpected with it. Email back the photo and we’ll publish it on the Mattoid Facebook page and Twitter feed to be judged by all other Mattoid followers.

“Adopting Haiti,” Mattoid Entertainment’s first documentary feature by filmmaker Timothy Wolfer, will open the 7th Annual San Diego IndieFest Film and Music Festival March 12, 2011. “Adopting Haiti” will screen on Saturday, March 12, 2011 at 12:00pm (PST) on the Mental Electric Film Stage. Filmmaker Ian Cofino signs with Mattoid Entertainment to release documentary about four prominent gamers and the surrounding culture.

(LOS ANGELES) February 2, 2011- Mattoid Entertainment, an independent film production and marketing firm based out of Los Angeles has acquired their second documentary feature, “I Got Next” by filmmaker Ian Cofino. The film focuses on four leading Street Fighter gamers; Justin Wong, Ryan Guiterrez, Mike Ross and Joe Ciaramelli as they travel from tournament to tournament fighting for not only themselves, but for bragging rights in the growing East versus West Coast rivalry.

“I’m thrilled to be working with Mattoid on ‘I Got Next’. I believe their outlook on distribution via the Internet is in line with how I feel many in the gaming community seek out and consume their content,” -Ian Cofino, Director – ‘I Got Next’.
